2007 COT* Races

Driver Average Start, Finish, Gain/Loss of Position, Total Points, and Average Points Per Race

*Since this chart is for use in Fantasy Racing Games, "Total Points" DO NOT reflect any points a driver may be penalized by NASCAR for rules infractions. NASCAR penalizes drivers "Championship Points" NOT "Race Points", thus the points on this chart WILL vary from NASCAR's Championship Points Standings. ALSO, the total points DO NOT reflect the resetting of driver points due to NASCAR's "Chase for the Championship" - the resetting of driver points would result in an inaccurate  "average points per race" result. PE = Post Entry. Drivers do not receive points for races in which they are list as PE - entry was not received by NASCAR/track in time. I figure in their start/finish and gain/loss of position, but do not let the "no points" effect their average points per race.

'07 Short Tracks    '07 Intermediate Tracks    '07 Road Courses    '07 Superspeedways

*"COT" refers to the "Car of Tomorrow" that NASCAR introduced in 2007 and ran in 16 of the 36 races ran in 2007. The 16 races consisted of 10 short track races, 3 intermediate tracks races, the 2 road course races, and then 1 superspeedway race. The tracks involved were: Bristol (2), Dover (2), Martinsville (2), Phoenix (2), Richmond (2), New Hampshire (2), Darlington (1), Infineon (1), Watkins Glen (1), and Talladega (1). Once the COT started running full-time in 2008, it was then referred to as the "Car of Today".
